About Our Christ-Centered . . .
Beginning Math Program
How does your Beginning Math Program differ than others?
Our math program is so saturated with Scripture and
its principles that it clearly stands out among others!
All Christ-Centered Curriculum materials diligently
follow "add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge"
(2 Peter 1:5). We teach to children's spirits first
(Proverbs 1:7), and then rejoice to see God enlighten
each student's academic knowledge as rapidly as individual
God-given capabilities allow (Psalm 94:10).
Who should use the Beginning Math Program?
The Beginning Math Program is perfect for children
who are just starting out in their math instruction---K4s
(4-year-olds), K5s (5-year-olds), or Beginning 1st
graders who have never been schooled before. Math
Levels A and B teach these basic skills:
- Number concepts 1-20
- Counting to 100 by 1's, 2's, 3's, 4's, 5's, and
10's
- Before/after
- Greater than/less than
- Numeration
- Missing numbers in sequence
- Addition/subtraction combinations through 18
- Word problems
- Place Value (1's, 10's, and 100's places)
- 2 and 3 digit addition/subtraction
- Fractions (1/2, 1/3, 1/4)
- Time (hour, half-hour, quarter-hour, 5 minute
increments)
- Money (pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, half-dollars,
dollars)
How would you describe your program?
Every math concept is taught from its roots in Scripture.
We use a "here a little, there a little, line
upon line" (Isaiah 28:10) multi-sensory teaching
methodology to ensure that all types of learners---auditory,
visual, and "hands on"--- achieve success.
Each new skill builds upon previous instruction. The
spiritual thrust, which has a strong emphasis upon
building godly character, shows the beautiful relationship
between God and His number system. This is a very
unique and exciting program---both spiritually and
academically! There are two levels in our Christ-Centered
Beginning Math Program---Math Levels A and B.

- Math Workbook: Level B
This workbook is especially rich in scriptural
truths! As children study place value,
they'll learn that just as God designed
a dwelling place for Himself amongst men
(the tabernacle), He designed a dwelling
place for numbers. The study of fractions
focuses on giving our "whole"
selves to Christ---not just "part."
As children learn about time, they'll
begin with a brief study of when time
began, and then learn what God has to
say about our use of time. The study of
money has its roots in the barter system
in the days of Abraham, weights and measures,
and finally coinage in the Old and New
Testaments. Instruction on money focuses
on what God has to say about true "treasures."
Addition/subtraction is then extended
through the 18 number family, using a
Base 10 method. To
